Bradford Airport

Location: Bradford

Client: Bradford Airport

Leeds & Bradford Airport needed a large glass panel window replacing in one of its busy terminal buildings that carries high volumes of traffic. The window was not only in a high volume traffic area it was also in a working café.

As there were no records or drawings of the glass specification, our specialist team worked closely with Leeds & Bradford Airport to identify the glass specification. using our expert knowledge of glass specification we first looked at samples of the broken glass and used surrounding glass panels for further information. This was narrowed down to a number of options, by providing glass samples and explanations to the Airport we specified the complete glass make up and colour. The client was happy to sign these off and the panel was produced to this specification.

Experienced in working on commercial buildings, we set up a speedy and convenient date to install the new panel, working with the Airport to complete all permits needed for workers and equipment to be on this busy site. Our highly trained and experienced glazing technicians were on site and completed the work to fully remove the broken glass panel and replace with the new panel. Our glazing technicians are fully trained to use all equipment needed to complete works on site. All required equipment to complete the install was arranged and on site for the work and included a mobile work platform, all harnessing equipment and barriers and ground control to ensure members of the public were clear of the working area.

The work was completed quickly with minimal disruption to the café  and the client was very pleased with the Glazing Renovations service and final result.
