When repeat client ISG Ltd required a complex glass replacement in the heart of central London, they turned to Glazing Renovations once again. Scope of works
The challenge
The key challenge of this particular project was the location, as the building was situated on a busy road in central London. To help solve this challenge, Glazing Renovations worked with Westminster City Council to ensure all work could be completed in a safe and efficient manner.
How we overcame it
For Westminster Council to accept our traffic management plan, it was required that works would be completed during a weekend, which Glazing Renovation was happy to abide by, although outside normal working hours, to ensure works were completed as requested.
Glazing Renovations has conducted previous work on the same building, and so we were aware that the building involved architectural shading fins, which needed to be removed in sections, starting from the bottom of the facade. Once removed, the broken double-glazed unit was promptly de-installed by our highly trained technicians, followed by the instalment of the new glass pane.
The outcome
Due to a site survey being conducted and a full scope of works for the RAMS approved by the client and Facilities Manager, Glazing Renovations could be certain that the glass unit size, thickness, and tint would be installed smoothly with no issues.
